Abstract

In Bluefield’s Bay, the most important wetlands, due to their extension, are the floodplains (yolillales) and mangroves. The objective of this research is to generate general information on the main arboreal components and the current state of the mangroves of False Bluff and Isla del Venado, in Bluefield’s Bay. Specifically, the aim is to taxonomically describe the plant species located, determine the distribution of tree species in the different sampling sites of the mangrove ecosystem, assess the current status of the existing plant species and establish permanent sampling units to serve as a reference for monitoring.
