Abstract

The text here presented is a brief review about the story book compiled by Caro! Britton, which talks about the adventures of a common and popular character of the English-speaking Caribbean as is Anancy. According to the author of this review this collection of stories is a way of transmitting an identity, of strengthening it from the perspective of a people who were stripped of their material life, but whose spiritual life however was kept active through the power of the words, imagination, the construction of characters that are tied to what mother nature provides to us and its transmission to generation after generation.
