The indigenous strategy is based on multiple management of the agroecosystem (a combination of several agricultural systems), which is characterized by its high complexity and interaction between biotic, inert and sociocultural components. however, the increasing penetration of commercial activities and the rapid growth and concentration of the indigenous population in Talamanca is putting a strong pressure on this agroecosystem.
