Afro-nicaraguan (creoles) and the revolution

This article reviews the history of Afro-Nicaraguans (Creoles) in southern Zelaya and analyzes their identity and the role it has played in shaping their attitudes toward the revolution. It offers preliminary hypotheses that might explain their reluctance to participate in the revolutionary process.
