An approximation of the regional economy's contribution to Nicaragua's Gross Domestic Product

Abstract

This economic research looks at the contribution of the regional economy to the Nicaraguan economy, using the year 2000 as a reference. The author analyzes the performance of the activities of the primary sector (agriculture. fishing, and forestry), the secondary sector (manufacturing Industries, construction, and mining) and the service industry (trade, restaurants, hotels and other services). The production of the primary sector in the Atlantic: Retton, sticks out in the national economy. In Both autonomous, regions, these activities are mostly repressible by subsistence family and community based, economy, performed the indigenous agricultural and forest productive systems, in the subsistence rural economy and 1n traditional fishing.
