Abstract

This book is a compilation of essays on the demarcation and titling process on Nicaragua’s Caribbean Coast. In this presentation, the compilers review each author’s contribution and describe, various aspects of the demarcation process: legal. obstacles, contradictory concepts of property, pending institutional elements, environmental arguments in favor of recognizing territorial rights. for indigenous and ethnic communities, conflict management and participation of the indigenous people in mapping activities in order to implement demarcation.
