Abstract

Nydia Taylor is a coastal artist whose original technique is described and celebrated by the author of this article. She also analyzes the contents of her message, pointing out that with her work this painter joins the movement that resists social exclusion and institutional discrimination experienced by men and women of the cultures of indigenous peoples, Afro-Caribbean and ethnic communities, made minorities by exclusion. According to the author, Nydia Taylor gives us the opportunity to reflect and learn to coexist with differences and to celebrate and not marginalize in this shared multicultural space.
