Abstract

In this article, the author analyzes factors that have, positively as well as negatively, influenced the autonomy process. He thus looks at the historical role of the Churches, the educ such a way that the role historically played by the churches, educational system, national and regional political parties, natural resources and living standard in relation to what is needed today in terms of education, health, political institutions, and natural resources in order to further the autonomous process of the Atlantic Coast.
