Sauda, an ancestral mayangna festival that celebrates the encounter with Mother Nature

Abstract

Sauda is an ancestral Mayagna dance ceremony, which in ancient times propitiated the relationship between human beings and supernatural figures. The context of humans and the owners of nature was the most outstanding relationship that was manifested in that mythical world. The act of the festivity was allusive to the harvest festival, and in recognition of the owners of the rivers, lagoons, seas, mountains, the different gods and the dead. The purpose is to share knowledge about forms of celebration and to corroborate the meaning of this festivity.
