Abstract

Richard Joseph is a young man from Bluefields who is currently in prison. The poems written by him, in a fresh and rhythmic language, but deep at the same time, are a reflection of his desire to reach his freedom; but not so much his physical freedom, but rather his spiritual freedom. The free and spontaneous message of his poems - clearly a product of his personal experiences - makes us meditate on the reality and challenges that many young people in the country face. However, they are also full of hope, because of the sensation of inner peace and deep freedom that they leave us with at the end, and which, contradictorily, he transmits to us from his imprisonment.
