Actual state of the tropical rain forest in the basin of the Escofram river, twelve years after hurricane Joan

After choosing the Escofrarn Riveras the most viable source for providing sanitary drinking water to the City of Bluefields, in the Southern Autonomous Atlantic Region known as RA.A.S. The present study provides environmental information that serves as a basis for a specific evaluation and water sanitation project management impact in said city. The investigation was concentrated on making analysis and description of the forestal resources that are found in the micro-Basin of the Escofrarn River, in both areas of direct and indirect influence defined according to project criteria. The information presented in this article derives from data compiled in the field, from existing written material and previous studies done near this area.
