Abstract

This article explores the relationship between different levels of access to means of production and the generation of economic inequality between the people of Kakabila in Peart Lagoon, Nicaragua, from the perspective of capture and processing of sea shrimp.  Likewise, it corroborates quantitatively to the notion that within the context of the local shrimp economy, the production of riches fer some conveys the concomitant impoverishment of others.
